Translating the WOSCOPS Analysis to Guidelines: Take Action and Treat High LDL cholesterol

Based on a new analysis from WOSCOPS (West of Scotland Coronary Prevention Study), clinicians should treat primary prevention patients with high LDL cholesterol – not wait and see. Evidence of the benefit of statin treatment on long-term mortality makes a clear case for a change to guidelines to reflect the need to take action.
